Gardening Tip

Our eyes locked across the cocktail lounge
First sparks
I held her gaze, daring her resistance

We crossed the room and talked
Discovered things in common,
mostly magnetic physical attraction
Naked flames

We met for coffee
Fire was fed
Went to her place
Conflagration

She came to my place
Allergic to my cats
Well, love me, love my cats
Flames lacked oxygen

A rendezvous postponed
A headache
Love died as fast as it had started
Cold ashes all that’s left

Good for my rose garden

  1. Hi Susan! Well, you know, once a gardener always a gardener! Thank you so much for leaving a comment!

  2. Thanks Elisabeth! Total fiction but I like the idea because I’m a gardener! Will write soon! Just been so busy! xo
