VIDEO: Want a Rock’in Body and Mind?

Being physically fit seems to be a tall order. I can almost hear you groaning, “I don’t have time for another complicated program.”

It doesn’t need to be complicated.  We can address two tenets of a Rock’in Body— Fit Thoughts and Fit Actions— by adding ONE question to our daily lives:

Does this serve me?

Let’s look at how our thoughts affect our physical fitness. Consider this thought:

I never have time to exercise.

Does this thought serve you? Is it helpful? Now consider these thoughts,

Any amount of exercise counts. Ten minutes is a workout.

Which thoughts will lead you to higher level of physical fitness?

Twenty to twenty-five years ago (Yikes), when I was flying around the world modeling there weren’t gyms in the hotels. Also, I didn’t have a mobile device to follow exercise videos on YouTube. Often, I put on my sneakers and jogged up and down the stairwells. On many locations, I would venture for a walk, but if I didn’t want to journey outside, the stairwells offered me a decent workout. Ten minutes of stairs is a workout. Furthermore, once I began, I often exercised longer.

Harvard Medical School psychiatrist John Ratey wrote, “Exercise is the single best thing you can do for your brain in terms of mood, memory, and learning” and

Even 10 minutes of activity changes your brain.

I interpret that as— Even 10 minutes of exercise boosts our happiness, and it doesn’t hurt how we look in our jeans.

Fit Thoughts do lead to Fit Actions (and a Rock’in Body).

It’s okay to relax too (not just do stairs). Every action isn’t obliged to be on our Be Perfect/Achieve list! Watching a much loved movie in your jammies may just be what you need to replenish your energy.

Does this, right here and right now, lead me to fit thoughts and fit actions? Every moment is different. You know what is best for you!

We can gently guide ourselves to Fit Thoughts and Fit Actions. Follow along with my video.

  1. Boy, do I need to re-read my own stuff sometimes. It is good to get reminders over and over again. It isn’t always new information, but we can get motivated again and again.
