I walk to learn to become one
Within my own skin
Immeasurable distance
A path designed by the stars
A solo journey
Of my own free will
My steps fall into place
At my own pace –
Try not to keep up with me
For I am my own tree
My branches –
Strengthen me
Guide me
Shelter me
Grow with me.

Noble sentiment: Marcus Aurelius-like delivered deftly with a delicately deceptive dying fall (plea?) in the last line–kind of ironic and pleasing in its urgent ambiguity.

Good work.
Thank you, Doriowen. I’m glad that you loved it.
Love this, Valerie. Minimalism at its finest. xoD.
