Sticks and Stones

Call me stupid
Call me black
Call me white
Call me purple
Call me insane
Call me weak
Call me middle class
Call me brilliant
Call me blame
Call me shame
Call me naive
That’s my shade throwing favorite.

The thing is I don’t care about the name game. I won’t even blink.
Sticks and stones are for the ignorant, the ‘just me’ obnoxious obsessed generation.

Stick and stones incite riots, killing, and violence. They have no place in the new millennium.

You are better than that, so much brighter than spewing and spitting rhetoric. You are morally responsible and dignified.
Honor is your middle name.
Youth, pay attention you are our
Stand tall citizens, men and women unite.
You are beautiful, compassionate and strong.
Lead with L.O.V.E.
We all breathe the same air, so please care about your neighbor even if he looks a little different.

But don’t, DO NOT EVER get it twisted.
KKK, white supremacists, Neo Nazis, white nationalists and whatever God
forsaken name you cower behind, be forewarned and ill forgotten.
Stones crumble when the fortress of justice is tall and wide.

Judas cast the first stone, but Jesus did nothing but open his arms wide.
Peacefully protest the oppressor.
Hilter, the evilest of all charlatans mesmerized with lies, vaporized, heartbreak and senseless destruction spared no lives.

Pathetic Tiki torch carriers hatred has no place here.
Go home, back to your little lies, guns and blind eye hype, false promises from the worst kind of greedy bastard liars. Dump Trump and his great big, bullshit circus tent administration and destruction. We are better than this, better than history repeating. There’s no turning back from brutality. There’s no turning back from brutality. There’s no turning your back from brutality.
There’s no turning your back from venom and murder.

You are no better than the pissant confederate flag you hide behind.
Rebel? Hardly. No, not really.

Give me the warriors, the true rebels, the Mandelas, Rosa Parks, Barack Obamas.
The fearless leaders whose names will stand the test of time, centuries after our
little lives have been forgotten.

Call me hatred, go ahead and try.
Call me hatred, go ahead and try.
Call me hatred, go ahead and watch me fly like the freedom bird, the honorable,
glorious bald eagle.
American the beautiful.

I will not sit down for that one, not for hate.
I’ll take the sticks with the stones
and cry me a river.

Oh no, no, no I will not be bought under false pretenses.
I will stand up straight with peace in my heart and equality on my mind. Be gone bullies,
beware bullshit weaklings, evil hearted bad behavioralists.

Stand beside me instead, peacefully.
I will not follow or run ahead, but quietly and proudly stand by your side towing
the pride line.
