Claudia Brown has been a French language and French/Francophone culture and literature specialist for 30 years, teaching at various colleges, universities and schools in the Wilmington, Delaware; Washington, DC and Philadelphia areas. She earned her master’s degree in Paris with Middlebury College and the Université de Paris X – Nanterre, where she also served as a teaching assistant at l’École Supérieure de Traducteurs et Interprètes at the Sorbonne Nouvelle. She has worked as a translator and community organizer with a non-profit organization in Marrakech, Morocco since 2000. Claudia has contributed articles to the Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN International, Brooklyn Phoenix, among others. She is currently at work translating into English from the French fantastical stories for young people by a Moroccan writer, akin to the Arabian Nights.
