Out of Body, Floating

My life falls apart around me
In split seconds

Hope being swallowed by Angst

Verbal abuse from a spouse
Who once loved me

He has taught the children
How to resent me

I think about flowers and rose buds
And their thorns

I think about the duplicate
Smile scars

Grinning faces across my
Bikini line

As if I will ever wear a bikini ever again in my lifetime
I don’t know how to make anything right

Not even my dog barking in this moment
In this one second I had you-I had you between my fingers

Opened my mouth for a kiss changed clothes
Did the laundry

And everyone has gone upstairs
I have done it again it seems

Likened my beautiful roses to a murder of crows
And sat and waited happily for them

To fall out of their trees
To die in the road

I sit back and watch with fascination
If you will still care about me
