Barely Visible

trembling
layers
of authentic spirit
refused
fissures of disassociation
spiders web stuck to the base
of the
soul
sensitive thoughts pushed to
the side
in favor of our mother’s motto
be good, clean and kind
educated in the ways of humanity
exploring delight
gorging on fleshy highs
what is right, is wrong,
disgrace
quickly denied
culpability
swallowed
on shot after another
seeking alternative
means of relaxation
longing for
radioactive
