10 Beauty Tips to Enhance the Goddess in YOU

When it come to asking yourself what you cannot live without in your makeup regime please examine carefully what you use. A little can always go a long way. Here are some tips, to help you keep it to a minimum!

  1. If you do your eye makeup first then you can clean under your eyes with a bit of cream cleanser and do the rest of your face quickly.
  2. Please keep a concealer at the top of the list! A concealer provides just as much protection and fixing that can be needed with little effort.
  3. Keep your lips moisturized. Lipstick is the best lip protector but not every woman likes it, so there are many options in the lip balm and moisturizing department.
  4. Curl your lashes. There are mascaras that offer a bit of curl but nothing beats a eyelash curler to really get your flirt on.
  5. Moisturizing oils can bring a glow to the skin by using alone or mixed with your moisturizer. Apricot Kernal Oil is a favorite as well as Almond Oil.
  6. If your skin is too oily and you stay away from shine use a serum instead to keep your skin hydrated. Hydration is most important and prevents those pesky lines from showing up.
  7. If you use powder do NOT go overboard with a heavy application. A light dusting of powder can provide all that you may need to prevent shine.
  8. To keep eyeshadow lasting all day use a primer like Urban Decays Anti-Aging Primer Potion.
  9. A face primer has become an essential for most women, however there are BB creams like the one from Tarte that does all the multitasking for you. It works as  a primer, moisturizer and a light foundation. Easy breezy!
  10. Always treat your skin gently as you cleanse it, too much rubbing and scrubbing will cause other problems to show up.

  1. Thrilled to pieces to read this Dori!!! Here is a quick mask with Apricot Kernel oil – mix it with some sugar until it gets a little pasty ( it will crumble a bit ) and then gently apply it to your clean skin – DO NOT RUB IT ON….very gently apply it and then let it set on your skin while you take a luxurious bath, rinse it off and no need for a moisturizer….you will not believe how soft and glowing your skin will be….I think I need to post this on my Beauty Page….so easy and effective.
    best, Margret

  2. Reporting back….
I upgraded my eyelash curler to an obscenely expensive one. Oh, so worth it. And the UD eyelid primer? Magic. But the very best tip was the apricot oil. How have I lived this long without it? I’m now also using it lightly on my hair after it dries before I style it (makes it smooth as silk) and on my hands for a touch of winter excema.

Genius, Margret, genius. And thank you

  3. Margret,
Fabulous tips! I just went shopping on Amazon for the Apricot Seed Oil and Urban Decay primer….can’t wait to start using.

  4. Hi Michele,
I understand your problem, I have many clients that deal with this issue and Lancome’s Definicils always seems to work…..I hope it helps you too!!
    best,
    Margret

  5. Margret, can you recommend any mascaras that are particularly good for sensitive, allergy prone eyes? I have been going without mascara for weeks because any time I put some on (even the hypoallergenic kind), my eyes turn red and I struggle all day with eye allergies.
